Auto Repair in Louisville, OH

LOUISVILLE, OH

The small city of Louisville, OH, is located in Stark County, about eight miles northwest of Canton. It covers 5.5 square miles of land, home to a population of about 9,200 people.

The area was first settled in 1834 and named Lewisville. The spelling was changed just three years later when the post office was established and it was discovered Ohio already had another town called Lewisville. The community of Louisville was incorporated as a village in 1872, and almost a century later, in 1960, the village was officially named a city. Louisville became known as The Constitution Town, following the successful efforts of one local resident to establish Constitution Day on September 17. The city now holds annual Constitution Week festivities in mid-September.
